In the short story Harrison Bergeron, by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. takes place in the United States in the year 2081. It tells the story of Harrison Bergeron, a fourteen year old boy, tried to take over a messed up "all equal" government. He must fight against Diana Moon Glampers, the handicapper general. First, Harrison Bergeron was taken away from his family to be given more handicappers. Then, he was put in prison. He was out in prison for unknown reasons not described in the book. Next, he escaped prison and went straight to the Handicapper Headquarters. Finally, he was shot in mid-air while dancing with his empress. As the story ends his parents forget about his death. His parents will never see their son again, the mom is to stupid to remember what was on the television screen and the dad didn't see it happen. This messed up society was created when everyone wanted to be equal. But, being all equal isn't exactly the best.
